🌿 Coconut Oil - Used for centuries as an effective oral hygiene practice, coconut oil is a unique oil that contains predominantly medium chain fatty acids of which 45-50 percent is lauric acid. Lauric acid has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that is linked to reducing bacteria, inflammation, plaque, and gingivitis.

🌿 Sesame Oil - A traditional staple for oil pulling and known in Ayurveda as the “King of Oils”, sesame seed oil has powerful antioxidants with anti-inflammatory benefits and is linked to reducing bacteria, inflammation, plaque, and gingivitis, and is naturally anti-fungal. It is also rich in free-radical fighting antioxidants.

🌿 Licorice Root - Used for centuries in various medicinal remedies due to its potent detoxifying properties, studies show that licorice root may reduce cavity activity and gum disease.

Our Step-By-Step Guide to Oil Pulling

Place about 2-3 teaspoons into your mouth.

Swish the oil around your entire mouth thoroughly - side to side and around the gums - as if you were rinsing with a mouthwash. Also be sure to force a bit of oil through the teeth in order to remove debris from between the teeth.

Spit out the oil (do not swallow) and rinse well. To protect your pipes, it's best to spit the oil outside or in a lined trash can.

In the beginning, you can start with just five minutes of oil pulling, but then for added benefit you may want to work your way up to as long as 20 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I swallow the oil pulling mouthwash?

No. Although the formula is food-grade and clean enough to eat, we recommend that you spit it out in the trash can or toilet. After all, once you're done swishing you’ll want to expel all the plaque, bacteria and tartar.

Does it contain any alcohol?

No, it does not contain any alcohol. Most mouthwashes on the market contain alcohol and while it does kill germs, it also kills the beneficial bacteria in the mouth. Alcohol can also be irritating to the mucous membranes of the mouth, therefore we do not include it in our formulation. We use essential oils to kill the harmful bacteria. The swishing action of the oil helps to dislodge gunk as well as bringing blood flow and essential nutrients to the mouth.

Can I use it more than once a day?

Absolutely, especially if you have an active infection.

Can I use this if I have sensitive teeth, crowns or dentures?

Our oil pulling is wonderful for sensitive teeth, crowns and more. It can be used in any place normal mouthwash would.

Is oil pulling safe for everyone?

Yes, oil pulling is generally safe for most people, as it uses natural ingredients. However, if you have specific dental conditions or allergies to certain oils, consult your dentist or healthcare provider before use. Children should use it only under supervision to avoid accidental swallowing.

As each order is handcrafted, please allow between 3-5 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) for your order to ship unless otherwise noted in the description of the product.
